Usually we don’t discuss game hacking in general, but today there has been some news items that has caught my interest as it is not bad (including the previous blog post for F-Zero’s hidden arcade game included on the GameCube disc! Legit!).

One being the Donkey Kong Pauline hack (Offsite Rom hack patch download requires original ROM in order to use patch, we are not providing that here!). This was meant to be made for a father’s daughter, as she wanted to play as a girl in Donkey Kong.

And the other hack was done with Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past, which was an engagement proposal. Which was well done with turning Link into Zelda, and having Zelda having to save Link at the end.

This just shows the legitimate uses of game rom hacking, which can turn to happy endings. – HyperG
